Students who complete at least one college essay over the summer feel better prepared to tackle the college applications and essays with due dates as early as November 1st. Sage Essay Workshops teach students the process for choosing a topic and writing essays for college applications.

• What makes an impactful college essay: the difference between an English paper and a good college essay
• How to choose your essay topic for the new essay prompts on the Common Application
• The process for writing an effective college essay
You will leave the workshop with:
• Samples of your writing through exercises we do during the workshop
• Your topic for the Common Application or UC Essay prompt
